Conference "From Atom to Galaxy - 2022"

Every pupil has his own dream. Someone wants to become a famous musician, someone wants to fly into space, and some pupils want to be great scientists. Unfortunately, these dreams often run into misunderstanding on the part of adults: they say, it’s too early to do science at that age, you need to grow up, graduate from university, get an education ... but for now, you can’t even think about it. We - the organizers of the annual conference of schoolchildren "From Atom to Galaxy" - deeply disagree with this point of view. All ages are obedient to science, and even if you are still in school, it's time to implement your bold ideas, make discoveries and invent something new. And the jury members - university teachers, researchers and school teachers - will evaluate your work and give useful advice on how to improve it.

This year the conference is to be held for the seventh time. The first time we organized it back in 2016. Some of its participants are now graduating from university and continue to engage in scientific work. In 2020, when the coronavirus epidemic broke out, we had to hold it online, but in 2021 we tried to partially return to the face-to-face format of work: the conference was held in a mixed format. This year we also hope to hold the event in a predominantly face-to-face version (we hope that the epidemic situation will allow us to do this).

The conference is going to take place 13 May 2022.

We invite pupils which have prepared projects and researches in maths, physics, astronomy, chemistry, engineering, biology, physical geography. To take part in the conference it is necessary to registrate via electronic form and to send a DOCX abstract (1-2 pages including theme of the work, name of author and supervisor, aims and problems, methods, main results, conclusion and references).

The abstracts can be downloaded before 20 April 2022.

The work should have a presentation of 15 - 20 slides.

All questions could be asked via email: ea.mikhajlov@physics.msu.ru
