For many years now, Moscow State University has hosted the Science Festival. It brings together schoolchildren, their parents, teachers, and anyone interested in scientific advances. Since 2016, the Physics Department has hosted the "Physics and Mathematics" section of the Young Researchers Forum, where schoolchildren of all ages can present their research and project work.

This year, 13 papers from Moscow, Dolgoprudny, and Yerevan (Armenia) were submitted to the section. Students from the MSU University Gymnasium presented the results of their research, conducted jointly with a laboratory at the Joint Institute for High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Students from School No. 2098 discussed the operation of a cosmic ray detector, which they are developing together with staff from the MSU Nuclear Physics Institute. School No. 1534 submitted a paper on rays in various wavelength ranges, as well as a highly engaging musical project with theatrical elements. A student from School No. 2086 discussed molecular vibrations. A report on chemical bonds was presented by Primary School No. 69 (Yerevan). This is not the first time the Proton Educational Center has prepared interesting presentations on how to help sick pets using various mechanisms, and environmental issues were also discussed. The Phystech Lyceum (Dolgoprudny) prepared an interesting project related to a telescope orientation system.

The students' work was evaluated by a jury consisting of Professor A.N. Bogolyubov, Head of the Applied Mathematics Department; Associate Professors N.E. Shapkina and E.A. Mikhailov, Department of Mathematics; and Senior Research Fellow
D.A. Konyaev.

We also express our gratitude to the faculty students who helped organize the event: M. Ziyatdinov, E. Makarova, G. Myltsev, and O. Spiridonov.
